Any ideas? Unfortunately, no. That sort of stuff all depends on your server setup -- does it use SMTP-Auth? If so, does it do so over SSL or TLS? If authentication is required, are you using the appropriate username/password pair? Once you figure out the answers to those questions, you should be able to figure out what changes you need to make to the parameters you pass to the Mail object in order to get it to work. (I've only used local sendmail and SMTP to non-Auth hosts.) > -----Original Message----- > From: Michael Wallner [mailto:mike@php.net] > Sent: Monday, February 21, 2005 2:20 PM > To: pear-general@lists.php.net > Subject: Re: [PEAR] Re: [NEWBIE] Mail Help > > Hi Brett Patterson, you wrote: > > No... :) > The general usage pattern is to test the return value of a called > method to be a PEAR_Error: > > $mail = Mail::factory('mail'); > if (PEAR::isError($mail)) { > die($mail->getMessage()); > } > if (PEAR::isError($error = $mail->send(...))) { > die($error->getMessage()); > } > > // shortcut: PEAR::setErrorHandling(PEAR_ERROR_DIE); > > Did you have a look at the manual yet? > > -- > Michael - < mike(@)php.net > -- Matthew Weier O'Phinney | WEBSITES: Webmaster and IT Specialist | http://www.garden.org National Gardening Association | http://www.kidsgardening.com 802-863-5251 x156 | http://nationalgardenmonth.org mailto:matthew@garden.org | http://vermontbotanical.org
