undefined class 'pear' when doing web installer of PEAR

Ok, I was wondering if someone could point out what I am doing wrong.
Put go-pear.php in the root of my web, bring it up, and it appears to
be running fine. Then I get this:
The requested URL /co.php/pear-core/PEAR.php was not found on this server.
Which gives me a 404 error that the document is not found. Then I get
this error:
Fatal error: Undefined class name 'pear' in
/home/jord1242/public_html/navarnation/go-pear.php on line 668
Can anyone tell me how to fix this or what to do? Maybe the location
of pear.php in the go-pear code is wrong.
Please help! Thanks a lot for anything you can do.
