SQL insert error with DB_Nested

Help: I've been trying to get DB_Nested working, but keep getting an 'insert' error. When debugging, the insert query seems to have been generated with apostrophes added to both the key and values of the query. When I copy the insert query and remove these, then manually try to insert the query, everything works great. What could I be doing wrong? Is there some kind of configuration var I dont know about?
