Have you tried HTML_QuickForm_Controller? It is exactly what you need I think.

After I click the submit button of the quickform, it will validates and pass the information through a callback function to process. If I want to bring the user to a different page to continue the sign up process for example, I may put a header location or a javascript redirection in the callback function to redirect the user to the next step of the sign up. However, by doing this, I may lose the information I collected on the first step of the sign up process. I can't even collect the POST values and create hidden elements of the values because the action of the form doesn't link to that page. And if I put the action link to the second step of the form, the form could not validate. Is there another way to redirect the user to the second step of the sign up form and yet keeping the data the user had entered on the first page of the sign up form?
