I'm not aware of what the official word is as to why this package remains in
beta. It's fully functional, as I've been putting it to good use for the
past
8 months or so. Perhaps its becoming redundant with the PHP5 SimpleXML?
I'm not quite sure what the answer would be but I wouldn't say don't avoid
installing it just because it's in beta, when it works wonderfully.
