Hi again Rob, i've already replied to your mail off-list. But if someone else want to gave his opinion, feel free to post. Especially i will be very interresting to know how users implement the html_progress package in real world (real case) regards Laurent Rob Coenen a écrit :
Hello, Recently I ran into HTML_Progress. I've been trying to get it running on PHP 4.3.10, WIN32 and IIS6 on WIN2003 Webserver Edition. So far I am sure that IIS, PHP and PEAR are installed and all required PEAR classes for running the HTMLProgress with HTTP upload samples. Could you be so kind to have a look at a few question I have? 1) Should it be possible to have a progress bar that indicates the current http upload? Eg something like "75% done" ? Im asking this b/c I'm wondering if PHP or PEAR are able to pass HTTP header information during a HTTP upload in such a way that PEAR can determine the current status of the upload? 2) Should it work on WIN32/PHP4.3.10/IIS6? 3) Is there any website that has a working example enabled? Not just a demo My installation is here: http://webserver2.outloud.tv/_dev_test/HTML_Progress-1.2.0/examples/ and this example is working for the upload part, but only on IExplorer (Firefox has Javascript problems) and also the progressbar just shows an animation, but it does not do show any progress until the upload is finished: http://webserver2.outloud.tv/_dev_test/HTML_Progress-1.2.0/examples/upload/s elfref.html 4) Why does the Progressbar not show progress but does just animate a bit? Thanks for your time, Best ROB Amsterdam / NL
