Hi,
I'm trying to use Blobs and Clobs in MDB with MSSQL 2000
I'm running PHP 4.3.8 on a Win Xp pro
(this is a topic about MDB, not MDB2)
I use the test cases "MDB_usage_testcase.php" provided with the MDB
package.
I created a table where my CLOB column is of type TEXT and my BLOB is of
type VARBINARY
When I run the testcase, it works very well.
However, this is true only for small amount of data.
In the test case funciton 'testLobStorage', we generate a small aopunt
of data to store with
for ($code = 32; $code <= 127; $code++) {
$character_lob['Data'] .= chr($code);
}
and
for ($code = 0; $code <= 255; $code++) {
$binary_lob['Data'] .= chr($code);
}
but if i increase the size of these data by incrementing the loop like :
for($i=0; $i<100; $i++){
for ($code = 32; $code <= 127; $code++) {
$character_lob['Data'] .= chr($code);
}
}
then the testcase does not work very good !
The insert works, as I can select all the data from a Stored Procedure
in MSSQL
But selecting the data from MDB only returns 4096 chars, never more!
Is this a MSSQL limitation ? I guess no because I can select the whole
thing from my stored procedure
so where is the problem?
I use a full privilege account user
I tested the CLOB as being a VARCHAR or NTEXT also.
I had the same problem in OCI8
thank you for your help
