Problem with using DB_DataObject

I basically can't find createTables.php to run anywhere. All I have which
resembles it is DB_DataObject_createTables.bat in a scripts directory!?? I'm
running suse 9.1 and have been using pear for ages without any problems. Any
idea how I can resolve this?
