Hello everybody,
I just finished to install a separate PEAR package manager on my shared
hosting environment as I have done it before.
The setup process performed cleanly without any problems, but when calling
the configuration's page from within the installed package manager, all
paths I have configured during the installation are set back to default
values.
The package manager is installed in /administration/pear/ and the pear
classes in /shared/pear/. The configuration tool loads and saves the
pear.conf file under /shared/pear/PEAR/pear.conf instead of
/administration/PEAR/pear.conf as I was used to before.
First, since there is no pear.conf under /shared/pear/PEAR/ in the
beginning, all values are set to default. Then, after saving the correct
values, the pear.conf file is created inside that directory and returning to
the package manager then results in a error 500.
Still, there is the original pear.conf with the correct settings inside
/administration/pear as it should be. But it is not considered.
Is this a bug? Am I doing something wrong? Any ideas? I would appreciate
any help. Thanks a lot in advance!
Greetings,
Michael Schmidle.
