Hi:
I work in a ISP which have more than 200 webservers. All this server are below a firewall who drop http request to outside ( this protect us from malicius downloads , worms as recent phpbb-worn and others ).
I think that a local mirror of Pear is a good cuestion to mantain all our pear modules up-to-date, and do all this manage more easy.
i want to know if its possible doing a rsync reply of pear.php.net ( only the pear modules, and throught rsync to optimize the bandwith cost ), to do a local pear mirror
i see http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=pear-general&m=107439171231291&w=2 thread in the list archive , but no one recommends rsync.
I think that rsync mirroring is a easy way to have more pear mirrors ( such local or public mirrors ).
maybe pear.php.net may set a rsync server ?
thanks in advance.
