According to the pear cvs repository there are 5 commits during last 2
and half year
for DB_ldap. DB_ldap2 seems to be in similar state. I wouldn't call this
active development.

Decide for yourself. I use DB_ldap for some basic Active Directory
searches and it
seems to do the job. Besides, if you are not content with its
functionality, you can always
hack the code according to your needs :-)
