Hi -
I was going to whip up a little script to send me the description of a pear package a day and eventually I'd have read them all and have a sense for what is in pear.. but... now I'm a little confused as I see several different numbers on how many packages there are and was wondering what was causing the difference...
% pear list-all | wc -l
199% pear remote-list | wc -l
197http://pear.php.net/packages.php - says 315 http://pear.php.net/package-stats.php - says 438 So... which is it? Does it have to do with their release state? Are betas and stables of the same package counted twice in some reports? I'm mostly just curious at this point :-) Thanks! -philip
