Structures_DataGrid getPaging empty results --> error

I'm getting this after a datagrid (Structures_DataGrid) bind() with empty results. Is there a
way to get number of rows fetched using this package (Structures_DataGrid)?
Notice: Object of class PEAR_Error could not be converted to double in
e:\apache\php\pear\Pager\Common.php on line 585
$dg =& new Structures_DataGrid(30);
// View logic ...
$dg->renderer->allowEmptyRows(true, array('bgcolor' => '#FFFFFF'));
$dg->bind($myObj, array('formbuilder_integration' => true));
$dg->render();
echo $dg->renderer->getPaging(); // THIS IS THE LINE
