Here's the situation. I reinstalled Pear Package on the hosted server. It look slike the other pear packages wort fine like, Spreadsheet_Excel_Writer and Image_Graph. From my localhost/ with Pear installed, I can bring up the example code fomr the XML_RSS documentation and it works fine. I transfer that page to the hosted server and the $rss->getItems() does not operate. (The code is below). It does not throw an error indicating that it can not get to the the pear folder. It is included in the php include_path and the server restarted. Here's the structure of the XML folder: XML/ (octal permission = 0755, rwxr-xr-x) XML/Parser (octal permission = 0755, rwxr-xr-x) XML/Parser/Simple.php (octal permission = 0644, rw-r--r--) XML/RPC (octal permission = 0755, rwxr-xr-x) XML/Parser (octal permission = 0755, rwxr-xr-x) XML/Parser/Dump.php (octal permission = 0644, rw-r--r--) XML/Parser/Server.php (octal permission = 0644, rw-r--r--) XML/Tree (octal permission = 0755, rwxr-xr-x) XML/Tree/Node.php (octal permission = 0644, rw-r--r--) XML/Parser.php (octal permission = 0644, rw-r--r--) XML/RPC.php (octal permission = 0644, rw-r--r--) XML/RSS.php (octal permission = 0644, rw-r--r--) XML/Tree.php (octal permission = 0644, rw-r--r--) <?php echo get_include_path(); require_once "XML/RSS.php"; $rss =& new XML_RSS("http://slashdot.org/slashdot.rdf"); $rss->parse(); echo "<h1>Headlines from <a href=\"http://slashdot.org\">Slashdot</a></h1>\n"; echo "<ul>\n"; foreach ($rss->getItems() as $item) { echo "<li><a href=\"" . $item['link'] . "\">" . $item['title'] . "</a></li>\n"; } echo "</ul>\n"; ?> The output form that page is: <h1>Headlines from <a href="http://slashdot.org">Slashdot</a></h1> <ul> </ul> Any ideas of what to do? ____________________________________________________ Start your day with Yahoo! - make it your home page http://www.yahoo.com/r/hs
