DataObject generator overwriting dataobject files?

Hey all, I've been experiencing an odd problem the last couple of days. - In my dataobject generated files, I have custom code for formbuilder and other stuff (which I understand is the recommended method). - While I am in dev mode, every time a page loads, I call:

    $gen = &new DB_DataObject_Generator;
    $gen->start();
- At seemingly random times, all the custom code in my files disappears - it seems like the file is being overwritten from scratch rather than edited only in the autocode section.

To be clear, all my custom code is after this code, as it ought to be:

    /* the code above is auto generated do not remove the tag below */
    ###END_AUTOCODE
I can't seem to reproduce this with any reliability which is why it is freaking me out a little bit? Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
