This soulds more like a backend thing than somethgn with the code. Do
simpler queries work?
$sth = $nws -> _dbIns -> prepare("INSERT INTO test VALUES(?)");
$res = $nws -> _dbIns -> execute($sth, array("test");
Not quite sure how the PEAR oci8 stuff does this. We rolled our own
similar functions before OEAR had this. Are you using CLOB's in your
table?
From oerr util:
[oracle@peon ~]$ oerr ORA 12571
12571, 00000, "TNS:packet writer failure"
// *Cause: An error occurred during a data send.
// *Action: Not normally visible to the user. For further details, turn
// on tracing and reexecute the operation. If error persists, contact
// Oracle Customer Support.
