Hi all,
I've been trying to bring up a local testing server to match my ISP's. My
PEAR::SOAP script gives different replies on either server. Specifically,
I'm trying to return a complex data type (really just a struct containing an
array of records plus some extra values), and my ISP's server happily gives
me what I want:
(slightly snipped for relevance)
<ArrayOfResults>
<Result>
<Attribute_1>Value 1</Attribute_1>
<Attribute_2>Value 2</Attribute_2>
</Result>
<Result>
<Attribute_1>Value 3</Attribute_1>
<Attribute_2>Value 4</Attribute_2>
</Result>
</ArrayOfResults> etc...
My local server, however, generates about 4 or 5 times as much xml,
including a whole extra layer of <value>, <tqn>, <nqn> and other assorted
tags that I wasn't expecting:
<ArrayOfResults>
<value>
<Attribute_1>Value 1</Attribute_1>
<Attribute_2>Value 2</Attribute_2>
</value>
<name>Result</name>
<type>...</type>
<namespace>...</namespace>
... and so on...
There doesn't seem to be any problem return simple data types, and I've been
making sure about using the same versions of php, libxml2, pear, apache. My
ISP hasn't been able to supply me with versions for the PEAR extensions
themselves, but they seem quite recent in every other respect. I've been
thinking mime types (?), or perhaps the fact that my testing server is not
online(?)... Might someone with a better understanding of xml (and perhaps,
more specifically, namespaces?) please suggest why the two replies might be
different under PEAR::SOAP.
Thank you kindly for any consideration hereof.
Mark Brand.
