Error with updating PEAR

I am trying to update to the new PEAR. I update PEAR to the new version, and now I get an error "Command "config_show" already registered in class PEAR_Command_Config" I had this problem on the last update, but I just reverted to the previous version, but with the latest release, I wanted to update. Is there some hidden dependency or conflict that I need to take care of? Thanks Linda
