Folks,
It turns out that while:
$db = DB::connect( "oci8://DB_USER:DB_PASS" );
fails, a slight modification to:
$db = DB::connect( "oci8://DB_USER:DB_PASS@" );
causes it to succeed. Wihthout the @ sign, the parser thinks DB_USER:DB_PASS
is the hostspec, and oci8.php never gets the username or password.
My first three reads of the documentation lead me to believe that the first
syntax should work .... guess I need to read more closely.
