LiveUser to change passwords?

Hello all,
All my LiveUser packages are updated to the most current versions, but I
cannot for the life of me seem to find any code that shows how you would
update a users password to a new password? I have found an updateUser()
function in both the LiveUser package and the LiveUser_Admin package but
neither seem to work at all for me for some reason. They all seem to
focus on the perm_users table and not the users table? Can anybody
provide a code snipped of what is needed to get this to happen? Thanks
