Sorry http://pecl.php.net/package/win32std is not a byte-code compiler, but a hook into the Windows API. -- Stefano On Sat, 26 Nov 2005 12:32:43 +0100, Stefano F. Rausch <stefano@rausch-e.net> wrote:
AFAIK there are some projects to "compile" PHP source files into a Windows "exe" as - amongst others - http://www.priadoblender.com/ or http://wildphp.free.fr/wiki/doku.php?id=win32std:embeder and not to forget the converter to byte-code http://pecl.php.net/package/bcompiler and http://pecl.php.net/package/win32std. Have you thought of http://pear.php.net/package/PHP_Archive or even http://pear.php.net/package/ScriptReorganizer as an alternative? Just some thoughts. -- Stefano On Sat, 26 Nov 2005 06:59:01 +0100, Jay Callicott <jrcallicott@gmail.com> wrote:
I'm not sure if this is a PEAR question or not, but seeing as how php is just C, is there a way to compile .php files into a library? Of course it wouldn't be platform independent at that point. On larger projects it's a beating swapping out dozens of php library files, it would be nice if they could be combined into a library file like ASP.NET does. Maybe there's already something out there like that and I'm an idiot but if there is I've been totally unaware up to this point. Thanks, Jay
