Sorry I haven't reponded sooner to this thread, I've been busy with other stuff. Anyways, I upgraded php to the 4.2.2 from the zip distribution found on php.net. Everything seems to have went ok, it seems to be working fine. I have php installed in c:\apache\php .. I just kept all the dlls and everything in the directories that they came in. So I downloaded the go-pear script ran it but wasn't sure what values to give the file layout directives. Right now pear is located in c:\apache\php\pear . So there's 6 paths that I have to get straight: 1. Installation prefix 2. Binaries directory 3. PHP code directory 4. Documentation base directory 5. Data base directory 6. Tests base directory -------- I'm only sure about the first one, I guess it should be c:\apache\php .. So just to make sure I get it right, do these paths look right? 1. Installation prefix : c:\apache\php 2. Binaries directory : c:\apache\php 3. PHP code directory : c:\apache\php\pear 4. Documentation base directory : c:\apache\php\pear\docs 5. Data base directory : c:\apache\php\pear\data 6. Tests base directory : c:\apache\php\pear\tests ----- I'm just worried that if I do something wrong initially I'll screw things up and it will be hard to recover. tia, --ed >Hello, > >I recommend that you upgrade to PHP 4.2.2.
