Hi Carl, I'm not long started on using xml_http_request, and have looked at HTML_AJAX but I feel it would be overkill for what I need to do. Before you go looking to PEAR for a quick solution, may I suggest you have a read at this tutorial on simple AJAX with the Prototype javascript library? The php file the xml_http_request object calls with my application, has a connection to PEAR::DB, and access to my global config file, authentication and so forth, so as long as you don't have too much going on I don't see a problem with using Prototype. http://24ways.org/advent/easy-ajax-with-prototype/ Cheers; Poncho On 25 Jan 2006, at 12:45am, Joshua Eichorn wrote:
After installing a new package you'll want to check the pear docs dir as well as there docs online. Most packages include basic usage examples in there install. -josh Christoph Lütjen - webEdition Software GmbH wrote:

Does anyone have an example, template or tutorial that might help me? I am working with the PEAR manual but am too much of a newbie to understand.
