Hi,
I'm using Debian Woody and got PHP 4.2.1.
compiled php with --enable-cli and now I got the php-executable
When running
$ pear install DB
I get
downloading http://pear.php.net/get/DB?uncompress=yes ...
It stays there until it timeouts with a failure
http://pear.php.net/get/DB?uncompress=yes:
failed to download
(fopen("http://pear.php.net/get/DB?uncompress=yes",
"r") - Bad file
descriptor)
There is no communication going on (no lights on the modem) while timing out
What could be wrong?
My provider, permits me to connect via a proxy. Could this be the problem?
Marc
