PEAR Info problem

Ok,
So this should be an easy thing to get working. However, when I run the
following script, my browser hangs.
<?php
require_once 'PEAR/Info.php';
$dirPath = "/usr/share/php";
$installInfo = new PEAR_Info($dirPath);
$installInfo->show();
?>
I am running gentoo w/ apache 2.0.55 and php 5.1.1
Has anyone else had this issue and how might I get it to not hang?
