Pear installation problem - Solaris 8, php 5.1.2

When installing PHP, it attempts to install PEAR, but doesn't quite succeed: [PEAR] Archive_Tar - already installed: 1.3.1 [PEAR] console_Getopt - already installed: 1.2 pear/PEAR can optionally use package "pear/XML_RPC" (version >= 1.4.0) [PEAR] PEAR: commit failed And then it exits the pear installation. It does install php, but not pear. Solaris 8, PHP 5.1.2, mysql 5.0.19, zlib 1.2.3, gcc 3.4.2 PHP: ./configure -with-apx2=/usr/local/apache2/bin/apxs -with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql Any ideas?
