installing pdflib

# pear install pdflib downloading pdflib-2.0.5.tar ... Starting to download pdflib-2.0.5.tar (-1 bytes) ..............................................................done: 304,128 bytes 7 source files, building running: phpize Configuring for: PHP Api Version: 20020918 Zend Module Api No: 20020429 Zend Extension Api No: 20050606 path to pdflib installation? : ok but that's what I am trying to install am I missing something. I am new to pear so be gentle. I found somewhere to dl the package, unzip, phpize, make, make install but that was looking for pdflib.h. So I went to http://www.pdflib.com/products/pdflib/index.html and grabbed pdflib lite, probably a mistake, installed that. Then went back to pdflib from pecl and it seemed to install. Did a pear install pdflib told it the install directory. Seemed fine but I get this: Fatal error: Call to undefined function: pdf_new() in /var/www/html/duffy/testpdf.php on line 3 when I try to run the sample pdf script on php.net http://us2.php.net/manual/en/ref.pdf.php hello world example 1 <http://us2.php.net/manual/en/ref.pdf.php%20hello%20world%20example%201> .
