HTML_QuickForm hiding file extensions after submitting a page

I noticed that when QuickForms submits a page to itself to validate it, the .php extension becomes visible. As long as I go through the entire registration process and enter everything correctly, I never see this, and am able to submit to pages and it hides the .php extension. Anybody have any idea to make it so it doesn't show the .php when it brings you back to the page after signaling an error without changing the QuickForm.php code?
