I have a question about PEAR and PHP version.
Now, http://pear.php.net/go-pear requires PHP 4.1.0 or
newer.
And I am using PHP 4.1.2 on Debian GNU/Linux woody.
If the situation that go-pear requires PHP 4.2 or newer has occurred,
Can PEAR follow that change with 'pear' command(installed by go-pear)?
Or, is a possibility that such a situation will occur quite low?
Or, "go-pear requires PHP 4.2 or newer" is not equal to "To use PEAR,
PHP version needs to be 4.2 or newer"?
PHP of woody(Stable branch of Debian) is 4.1.2, and to update to 4.2
or newer on Debian, We need to get the package from unstable branch
(or build from source).
However, I want to avoid it.
Even if I think that upgrade PHP for using PEAR is unnecessary for the
time being, am I ok?
