Here's how I checked out the latest PEAR sources. I have not explored how to
get a CVS account, so this account is a read-only one. I recommend grabbing
the latest version.
$ export CVSROOT=:pserver:cvsread@cvs.php.net:/repository
$ cvs login (password is phpfi)
$ cvs checkout php4/pear
$ cvs logout
