What I am really looking for is basically a set of cross-platform scripts that will take a list of pear packages to install as an input and pear install --alldeps them all from our installer. Then I suggest PEAR_PackageUpdate without a frontend. Real easy to have it just check the package versions and install them as needed. It could even be part of your installer. (Of course this would mean you'd need to bundle PEAR_PackageUpdate and its dependencies with your installer, but this shouldn't be too bad. And it can install/update itself to the PEAR installation on install. :-)) -- Justin Patrin
