Search and filter features in datagrid / formbuilder

Hello, I'm widely using FormBuilder for one of my projects, it works great! Now my client asked me to add filtering/search capabilities to the datagrid list views, does anybody have already done it? For filtering I think I could just define some GET vars (like ordering does) and apply the filters to the do before passing it to $dg->bind($do...
