I know which parts of the PEAR files need configuration (automatically done by the installer ?)
The normal way is to install the files using the installer (safe way) or to install it on a local computer and transfert the complete PEAR directory (where is PEAR.php) to the server. Both methods require to set the include_path to the PEAR directory (where is PEAR.php). Please consider a deep read of the manual, all methods are well described :) Cheers, --Pierre
