After multiple failed attempts to sign up to the PEAR mailing, a friend of
mine created an account for the sole purposes of signing up. After having
failed to register three times on this new account, we've come to the
conclusion that we're simply going to be unable to sign up, no matter what
we do. And I don't know what we're doing wrong.
Here's the account information:
pear.user@gmail.com
pass12
As logging in should show, three distinct registeration attempts were made.
The "confirm subscribe" email was replied to each of those times to no
avail.
As looking at the "Sent Mail" category should show, sign-up requests were
also made by including the Reply-To email in the subject line and sending
the email to pear-*-help@lists.php.net. This is per the following (from the
"confirm subscribe" emails):
Some mail programs are broken and cannot handle long addresses. If you
cannot reply to this request, instead send a message to
<pear-general-request@lists.php.net> and put the
entire address listed above into the "Subject:" line.
Subscribe requests were also made doing the following:
To subscribe to the list, send a message to:
<pear-dev-subscribe@lists.php.net>
...and help was requested per this:
For help and a description of available commands, send a message to:
<pear-dev-help@lists.php.net>
Emails have also been sent to pear-*-owner@lists.php.net, but no reply has
been received.
Unfortunately, nothing has helped. It's almost as if messages are being
sent but they're not being received. Atleast for my friend. For me, it
seems to be working just fine.
Anyway, I don't know what the problem is, but whatever it is, we'd
appreciate it if it could be fixed. And short of posting usernames and
passwords to this list, I don't know what more we can do. Any ideas?
