Is there any chance of getting 'fall through' functionality put into the
Pear::Auth package? It has been a requested 'bug fix' for 1 year and 11
months now.

The ability to check several different types of authentication sources would
be such a useful feature to have in this package. I'm willing to give it a
shot if there is no other way to have it implemented, but this would be
unfortunate seeing as how it is unlikely my solution would be good enough to
be accepted into the PEAR repository.
