Sorry, yes, the server is running PHP 5.1.4. I'm not clear from your description Pierre - do you mean the PHP Date class was disabled in PHP 5.1.1? In which case I'm not sure why I'm getting this conflict. Or is the PEAR Date class due to be renamed? In which case should I just rename my copy to DateTime so my code's future-proof?
Oops, I missed an earlier mail that explained it was going to be DateTime in PHP 5.2.0. Is there any way to use PEAR Date in the meantime?

I've just moved to a new server that has PHP 5.1 on it. Unfortunately some of my pages that use the PEAR Date class now give me "Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class date in /usr/local/share/pear/Date.php on line 88".
If this server has 5.1.0, I strongly recommend to update to 5.1.4. There were many security problems fixed in 5.1.1-4.
What's the best way around this, so I can continue using the PEAR Date class?
This class has been disabled in 5.1.1. The conflict (not only with pear::date) was one of the reason of the 5.1.1 release. It will be enabled again in 5.2.0 but with a different name, DateTime. --Pierre -- PEAR General Mailing List (http://pear.php.net/) To unsubscribe, visit: http://www.php.net/unsub.php -- http://www.gyford.com/
