I found it and I found the portability option that forces the fieldnames to be lowercase: DB_PORTABILITY_LOWERCASE. However, changing that option does not appear to be doing anything.
I believe I've discovered the root of the problem. Althought I'm setting the portability to 0 in my database options, that doesn't matter. It's not using the options I'm setting. On line 2212 of DataObject.php, it's getting options for elsewhere (not using my options for whatever reason) and using them when establishing the connection object on line 2213. Unfortunately, aside from modifying the code in DataObject.php, I don't see any way I can actually define portability options that it uses to pass to the underlying database driver.
Is this functionality intentional? Shouldn't DataObject be passing the options I define to the driver?
thnx,
Chris
