what do you think of only handling timestamps inside the date-class and letting the I18N package do the transformation. i am exactly sure of how to do that and what might be the best set up ... it was just a quick thought or may be ... like this: // setup an i18n object which knows about the country, etc. // and has methods to convert dates, based on timestamps $i18n = new I18N( $myLanguage ); $date = new Date( $i18n ); may be this makes sense, may be not. let me say again, i have not given it too much thought ... its just a quick idea - may be u just toss it right away -- Wolfram ... translating template engine .... http://sf.net/projects/simpletpl ... authentication system .... http://sf.net/projects/authHow does Date handle I18N? I assume you atleast partly depend on setlocale()? I actually haven't used setlocale() all that much, so I am just wondering if this is a reliable solution (since it does rely on correct settings outside of PHP etc.)do you have some thoughts on how this should be handled. im working onsome PECL code that should resolve a lot of date/time related issues (unfortunately, its ZE2 only at the moment, though). however the biggest unresolved issue is I18N. any suggestions would be welcome.
