I've had this problem before ... I am installing PEAR::DB manually because
the pear script that comes with PEAR does not work on my Win32 system (Win98
SE; the script PEAR.bat acts as if no commandline options are entered, when
they are typed correctly). I have the following setup:
<?
define ("SL_APPL_DIR" , "e:/dir/");
include_once(SL_INCLUDE_DIR . "PEAR/DB.php");
define("SL_DSN","mysql://username:password@localhost/database");
echo "START";
$DB = DB::Connect(SL_DSN, true);
echo "END";
?>
When I load a page with just this code, I never see END. No error, nothing.
I had this problem before, successfully solved it, moved files around, and
wrecked it again.
The basic question is, where does PEAR need/require my/its files to be in
order to run?
