Try "pear install /path/to/Package_Name.tar.gz". That should install a
local package for you.

Hi, I'm using some PEAR packages in an intranet without internet connection (I can upload files to the server, but the server cannot connect to the internet). When I installed these packages, I downloaded them manually one by one, extracted them, looked into the package.xml or package2.xml and moved the files around until eveything worked. That was ok for the first installation, but when I want to upgrade the packages, I would need to do that all again. That doesn't sound too inviting. Is there a nicer way to do that? E.g. download all the .tgz files, put them into a directory on the server and have pear extract them for me? From "pear help install" it didn't look that pear would do much without an internet connection.
