Installing packages from CVS ?

I was thinking about getting the latest HTML_QuickForm with the
GroupElement rules but since it's not a stable version I can't install
it with the pear installer .. or what ?
How do I install packages straight from the cvs tree ?
Even though HTML_Quickform with the groupelement rules isnt a 'stable'
version and still just in cvs shouldn't it be stable enough to use ?
