Hello,
I am a noob web designer trying to install PEAR on os x 10.4.9. After
downloading the code from http://go-pear.org I am able to navigate
to the
page titled "Welcome to go-pear 0.6.0". But, when trying to install I get an
error message saying:
"FATAL ERROR! We cannot initialize the temp directory. Please be sure
to give full write access to this directory and the install directory.
'/Users/"my name"/Sites/pear/temp' was given."
I have checked the folder preferences many times and know read/write
privileges are given.
I have PHP Version 5.2.1 installed.
Please help,
Michael
