Auth-1.1.1.tgz -- isConnection function not found

Hello. I am using Debian Unstable. I just downloaded the Auth-1.1.1.tgz to use; and i am using example 2 from the manual for testing. But it returns: Fatal error: Call to undefined function: isconnection() in /usr/share/pear/Auth/Container/DB.php on line 133 In Auth/Container/DB.php
