I am intrigued by the possibilites of the XML_Transformer class, but have had some difficulty getting it to do what I want. I'd like a reality check to make sure my goals are possible with this class.
Basically, I want to be able to define a few custom tags and have XML_Transformer process those, but otherwise leave my markup intact. A very simple example:
Before
-------------
<html>
<head>
<title>foobar</title>
</head>
<body>
Here's some text<p />
<error>here's an error message</error>
</body>
After
-------------
<html>
<head>
<title>foobar</title>
</head>
<body>
Here's some text<p />
<div class="error">here's an error message</div>
</body>
Is this possible/reasonably easy to do with XML_Transformer?
