Hi,
What are the advantages of using phpDocumentor over doxygen (or other
documentation tools) for PHP code? The advantages of doxygen for me is
that I also do C++ work and standardizing on one tool would be nice.
Has anyone here used doxygen for documenting PHP code? I've used javadoc
before and intend to stick to javadoc-style tags even if using doxygen.
BTW, I'm having trouble with the PhpDocumentor-1.2.0beta1 download (from
the pear.php.net site). See below. Are these bugs or did I fail to set something up?
Darren
-------------------
1. The INSTALL file says to just do ./phpdoc, but that file isn't
there! "phpdoc.php" is closest but that outputs an HTML page.
2. So I moved the whole thing under /var/www/html and the web
interface works. It goes through and processes the files, but then fails
with this error:
Sorting page elements...done
directory:
'/var/www/html/PhpDocumentor-1.2.0beta1/phpDocumentor/Converters/HTML/frames/templates/default/templates/media'
not found
That directory exists, but does not contain a file called "media". It
only contains these files:
blank.tpl class.tpl index.tpl page.tpl ric.tpl var.tpl
That was "HTML:frames:default" I got a similar error using
"HTML:Smarty:default". Same error using phpdoc.php or new_phpdoc.php.
3. Minor bug: in new_phpdoc.php pressing the "Browse tree" button
resets the form.
I'm using Redhat 8 and php4.2.2 RPM. I haven't (manually) installed any other pear packages - do I need to?
