New to the list

Hello all, I am new to the list and would like to ask these few questions: 1) I know PEAR provides a unified database wrapper. Does PEAR provide a unified database wrapper to access a database schema (server-side functions, triggers, views and more)? I read there were plans to provide a C++ library. Is someone working on it? Where can I get the code if exists? 2) Does PEAR have a Form builder comparable to http://www.phplens.com to display List/Detailed information? 3) My /usr/lib/php folder holds the old PEAR version. Can I delete it completely and replace it with /pear? Should I preserve some elements needed by PHP4.06 ? 4) Is someone working on a PEAR wrapper for iptables/ipfilter with database access logging.
