Please take a look at the following:
http://www.activestate.com/Corporate/Events/LectureSeries/SOAP_PHP.pdf
in particular pages 22, 23 and 24. Page 22 details a
5 line web service call using WSDL. Pages 23 and 24
describe a call using the save service w/o WSDL but it's
easily 15 lines long.
What is the WSDL really doing for the programmer? And
how is it acting as the "proxy" for the actual code that
is the service? I think I'm on the cusp of understanding
what this is/does but I just need someone to help push
me over.
Any help, insight or explanation would be greatly appreciated!
thnx,
Chris
