I've just downloaded the windows archive (the large one) and found that there is no pear directory. The pear website doesn't have anywhere you can download pear andthe faq is no help because everything assumes you already have it as part of your downloaded archive. where does one obtain pear for a windows installtion of PHP? Just in case you're wondering why I'm posting a question regarding DB while I supposedly haven't been able to set up pear yet, it's becasue I downloaded the PHP source-code and extracted the DB.tar file as an intermediate solution.

I still haven't been able to find a download of the pear package and I haven't been able to figure out why all the online doco on the pear site assumes it is part of the windows distribution of PHP when in fact it is not (at least not with 4.3.0).
