There is one placeholder called {FORM} in the template and I use $tpl-
setVariable("FORM", $form->toHtml()); to bring the form on the page. Maybe
that's why it takes so long?!

You're right. I copied the script to another webhoster and had the same slow behavior. Believe it or not, when I shut down my ZoneAlarm, the data is displayed almost instantly both on my local machine and on the remote server. Thank you for your answers, Joerg Bruckmann
