The default state is beta or stable. Set a different default to list
the needed packages.

# pear config-show
Howto set a config option:

run it as root, or change the permissions for these folders.
By the way, wait before installing Validate, major bugs due to a weird
thing using include inside an if statement. A new release with a new
interface will follow today
